Their deliver high-quality products and personal service which has made them an award winning business that has delivered many industry firsts and received many awards and accolades: Job Information Job Title: In-House Legal Advisor Job Description This role is an ideal opportunity for a Legal Professional to work for a global organisation located over 7 major countries worldwide. As the company’s In-house Advisor you will be part of a global legal team to review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts with suppliers. You will advise the legal team and senior managers on legal and commercial risks associated with business operations, their potential impact and suggested mitigating actions. You will also be responsible to ensure that the company’s terms and conditions for all related products and services, including any new products/services launched, are up-to-date and in accordance with UK and Irish law. This will entail drafting new clauses/schedules through to working with other departments to implement these changes on our websites. You will handle all customers’ legal complaints not able to be dealt with by Their Resolutions Department. You will liaise with Government/official bodies on DPA information requested. To deal with all Intellectual Property Rights enquiries, to include trademark and copyright issues, received from customers/solicitors/third parties. You will be able to draw on external legal support from their nominated solicitors if required. In the performance of your duties, you will be expected to use your best endeavors to promote and maintain the interests and reputation of the Company at all times. Moreover you will be responsible for fulfilling the company law obligations, in cooperation with local consultants, regarding corporate affairs. You will also be in charge of activities related to shareholder meeting, board of directors meeting, board resolutions, corporate governance issues, keeping company books, market abuse laws, workplace safety. Some of the responsibilities will include: Manage external legal support Stay abreast of legal developments affecting the company, its clients, and incorporate it into the company’s practices and/or terms and conditions and corporate issues (BOD, shareholder meetings) Represent company’s interests when reviewing supplier contracts and liaise directly with suppliers/clients/negotiating teams and managers of the company on contract documents. Develop internal guidelines, toolkits, and packaged knowledge on various legal and business issues Support, promote and implement initiatives as part of legal and operations team Deal with multiple work projects Company secretarial duties Carry out such tasks that are required to meet the needs of the business Required Skills Experience in interpreting, drafting and negotiating contracts/legal documentation Proven ability to efficiently manage work projects a large volume of work Good knowledge of laws and regulations in the following areas: Intellectual Property, contracts, business and corporate, Internet, Privacy, Company Insurance etc. Good ability to present alternatives and proposed solutions Strong time management, prioritization, and organisational skills Ability to apply judgment to broaden influence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience in contracting policy and general risk tolerance Experience of developing and implementing Legal strategies Experience as a Company Secretary Prior experience at a law firm or company with significant legal department / sophisticated practice Good knowledge of UK and Irish company laws Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products This will be a contract role for an initial 6 months. The successful candidate will be on a direct Service Agreement with the comapany. The role is likely to be extended or made permanent after that period. The vacancy is part time Monday – Friday 9.00am/9.30am – 2.30pm/3.30pm (final hours to be agreed between the company and the candidate). The gross salary banding is £30,000-£40,000 per annum and will be prorated to the number of hours agreed. Any hourly rate would include holiday pay (23 days).
