Leicester (Full Time, Permanent) £14,000 - £18,000 / Year
Legal Cashier - Leicester, Leicestershire
Working for a leading legal firm based in Leicester. You will be working within a team of Legal Cashiers in a high volume residential conveyancing environment providing a high quality and timely service to core processing teams. You should be able to:
- Deliver an efficient and timely service to the conveyancing teams.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the CLC Accounts Code or Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Communicate with colleagues and third parties in a professional manner;
- Provide good customer service; and
Maintain productivity at a level which will ensure company targets and legal contract deadlines are met.
Complete tasks efficiently, accurately and within specified timescales, such as:
Process completions - to include:
o Review client account ledgers to ensure sufficient cleared funds are held.
o Bill processing.
o Interest calculations.
o Bank transfers between accounts.
o Post payments/receipts to client ledgers.
o Ensure all documentation received is correctly authorised in accordance with the CLC Accounts Code and Company Policy.
o Deal efficiently with queries arising from completions and resolve.
o Identify, monitor and achieve targets on a daily basis.
o Report any breach of the CLC Accounts Code or Company Policy immediately to the Head of Legal Cashiers (HOFA), or the Deputy Team Leader.
o Any other duties reasonably required
Requirements:
" Previous accounting experience within a legal environment. As a legal Cashier
" A good knowledge of the CLC Accounts Code/Solicitors Accounts Rules.
" An eye for detail
" Ability and willingness to develop a good working knowledge of Solcase Case Management System.
" The ability to organise, prioritise and manage your time.
" Excellent mathematical skills.
" Ability to recognise problems and achieve solutions.
Salary on the role ranges from £14,000 - £18,000 dependant on experience.
