Lawyer / Senior Underwriter - Property - (Glasgow). c£Excellent plus benefits. You will be required to contribute to the strategic and profitable growth through the delivery of high quality underwriting services. You will also be required to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, solicitors, brokers and business units throughout Scotland and Northern Ireland, and market various products; effectively manage and lead an underwriting team to meet business needs within prescribed service standards and provide technical guidance, assistance and training to new and existing staff. The three key areas you will focus on will be: * Management of a small but highly specialised team * Underwriting on specialist and high-vlaue cases * Business Development / Account Management of major accounts Personal Qualities - Detailed knowledge of Scottish property law
- High level of technical expertise, underwriting skills and knowledge of insurance and underwriting principles, national/local practices and procedures
- Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of real estate market
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to effectively communicate in all forms at all levels within an organisation
